New 2021 Kia Optima Redesign Interior, Price – Kia’s fifth-generation mid-size sedan gets a completely new, stylish overhaul that has helped to transport the Korean automaker to new heights. Gone are the days when the Kia lineup consisted of a fleet of cheap transportation and rental counter bottom-feeders. For many years now Kia and its corporate counterpart Hyundai have successfully shed these stereotypes by manufacturing more interesting models.
Kia, in particular, introduced interesting genre-busting models with their new sporty 4-door Stinger and their terrific 3-row Telluride SUV. Now they are heading further upscale with an even more stylish overhaul of the new 2021 Kia Optima.
Visually pleasing inside and out with plenty of upscale features it’s hard to believe that the new Kia Optima was built by the same automotive company even though it wears the same name as the outgoing model it replaces.
Narrow headlights outlined by zigzagged running lights merge into its tiger nose-like grille, giving this sexy new sedan a fierce-looking face. Creases in the hood and side-surfaces lend character without looking too “busy”. A strip of shining chrome runs congruent with the sweeping lines of the rooftop, tracing across the trunk lid before connecting again on the opposite side of the body to create a fastback profile. Provocative taillight finishes that resemble a heartbeat monitor span the rear end of the car.
The new Kia Optima features an impressive cabin dominated by a piano black bezel in the dash that houses a 10.3-inch touch screen and the 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. The beautiful displays of the instrument panel include a Vista-like background of gauges that transform with the drive modes. The designers at Kia have cleverly avoided overdoing the interior, rather opting for an uncomplicated layout adorned with rich-looking materials.
Apart from the volume control, everything is controlled by buttons on the steering wheel, including the HVAC or by touch-sensitive zones on the screen that are more intuitive than traditional tactile controls. The attractive infotainment system with easy-to-navigate menus completes the gorgeous layout of the dash.
The rest of the luxury-looking interior features meticulous attention to detail with ambient lighting on the doors and dash, heated ventilated front seats, plush upholstery, an innovative air-purification system, and a wireless charging pad. The back seat has a fold-down armrest and ample legroom.

The other option for the U.S. is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that also features the higher output CVT (continuously variable valve lift) version.
