2024 Honda CRV Reviews, Release Date, Price – Since its debut in 1996, Honda has produced and sold millions of CRVs all over the world. The 2024 Honda CRV has remained one of Honda’s most popular vehicles even in the face of tough economic times. And who can blame buyers for opting for a crossover when it’s practical, entertaining, fuel-efficient, and cost-effective? It’s a terrific vehicle for folks who need a little bit of both an SUV and a wagon, thanks to its blend of basic deliciousness with a high-riding suspension and a very roomy cabin.
The CRV’s recipe for success will remain the same for the 2024 model year, despite a host of other alterations. CRV’s fifth-generation debuts this year with all-new styling, chassis, interior, and a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine from Honda. In terms of size, the CRV now sits between the HR-V and the three-row Pilot SUV more comfortably.
To top it all off, Honda claims the new CRV boasts the best second-row legroom in its class. When the second-row bench seat is folded flat, the cargo space in the CRV is a generous 75.8 cubic feet. The Ford Escape (67.8 cubic feet) and Toyota RAV4 (67.9 cubic feet) have a much smaller trunk than this (73.4 cubic feet). Despite this, it’s not much larger than its competitors’ footprints.
2024 Honda CRV Redesign
Although the 2024 Honda CRV has dressed up, it hasn’t lost its Honda sense of humor. Since the Civic and this vehicle are connected, it’s no surprise that their front ends look similar. The bigger lower grille and the black plastic cladding give the CRV a tougher look. There is a distinct five-o’clock shadow cast across the CRV. The whiskers continue to trim the wheel wells, rocker panels, and rear bumper on the side of the crossover. It has an SUV-like appearance thanks to the cladding, but it doesn’t try too hard. A Jeep Renegade would never confuse the CRV.
The interior of the 2024 Honda CRV has been thoughtfully designed with the driver’s comfort and convenience in mind. Small cubbies and storage spaces abound in this vehicle and the comfort level for all four passengers (or five in a pinch) can’t be beaten.
The instrument panel in front of the driver features an all-digital display. The CRV divides its gauges like analog ones, unlike many high-end automobiles with an uninterrupted display. There is no large, driver-configurable display for the coolant temperature and fuel level in reality. The bar-style tachometer in the center TFT display can be changed by the driver, as well as the display settings for other tiny elements. An easy-to-read digital speedometer is all you need for your car.
Information and entertainment controls were conveniently located on the center console, where they were within easy reach of both drivers and passengers in the front seats. Even the volume control on Honda’s stereo is real. To thank journalists and customers for their constant complaints about the ridiculous volume slider bar. Soft keys on the left side of the screen can be used to quickly launch applications. For a while, I had trouble figuring out where the most frequently used buttons and readouts were on the infotainment system’s interface.
2024 Honda CRV Engine
The new 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine from Honda will power the 2024 CRV. Its Continuously Variable Transmission powers the front tires, which are positioned transversely in the engine compartment. My test vehicle had the optional AWD system, which delivers power to the back wheels when needed for greater traction. Wheelspin and steering angle are also factors to consider while trying to have the best possible acceleration and handling.
The CRV’s 1.5-liter turbocharged engine is technically an “optional” option. The 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that powers the entry-level LX trim’s 184 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque is carried over. In addition to the CVT and AWD, it is also available. The turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine is standard across the EX, EX-L, and Touring models.
2024 Honda CRV Price and Release Date
Starting at $24,045, the new Honda CRV will be available in 2024. A 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and FWD are included in this price. Starting at $26,695, the EX’s 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder and enhanced interior and additional equipment make it a better deal than the base model. The EX-L is the following model to be released. It costs $29,195 to buy. Starting at $32,395, the Touring trim, like my tester, is available. If you want AWD, you’ll have to spend an additional $1,300, exactly like the other trims. However, the leather upholstery and more advanced infotainment system are the real selling points.
