2023 Volkswagen Atlas Release Date, Interior, Price

2023 Volkswagen Atlas Release Date, Interior, PriceFour years ago, Volkswagen’s most large SUV debuted as a vehicle specifically designed for the North American market. It was unveiled in 2022, and a new version was released for the 2023 model year. Styling tweaks and a two-row version were introduced for the occasion. Contrarily, the three-row conventional model continues on the opposing side. It’s not hard to deduce that the 2023 Volkswagen Atlas will be little more than a simple carryover from last year’s model.

As a result, you can be confident in a top-notch three-row SUV. In addition to providing ample room for passengers and baggage, the vehicle also performs admirably given its size. Also, we enjoy its infotainment system and a vast number of standard and available amenities. As for the engine performance and interior quality, we have no idea.

Exterior Design

MQB platform is the first thing that springs to mind when discussing the interior design of this 2023 Volkswagen Atlas. This is an exciting development because this architecture is typically employed in tiny automobiles like the Golf or Tiguan. On the other hand, The Atlas has a wheelbase of 117.3 inches, making it one of its most oversized vehicles. Still, you’ll be amazed at how well this enormous truck handles.

There are several new features to try out with the most recent version. Introducing the Atlas Cross Sport, a brand new two-row model with a configuration reminiscent of a married couple. On the other hand, the basic three-row model received a complete makeover with a new grille, headlights, and bumper. In addition to their excellent looks and good 8-inch ground clearance, both vehicles are very well built.

New renderings have surfaced online, and the next model appears somewhat appealing at first glance. There will be more bravado and a sharper appearance in the 2023 Volkswagen Atlas. It’s also expected that the three-row SUV would take over the front. The grille has been widened and enlarged by the manufacturer. The LED headlights and daytime running lights have been redesigned to have a hockey-stick form.

Interior Design

This SUV has a lot of interior space. Once it’s inside, that’s the first thing everybody notices. Even in the third row of the three-row variant, there is plenty of legroom for adults. However, the two-row model’s cargo area is smaller than the three-row model’s.

Speaking of the cargo area, the standard model offers around 20.6 cu-ft of cargo space behind its third-row seats, 55.5 cu-ft with these seats folded down, and a vast 96.8 cu-ft with the second-row folded as well. An impressive grade for the class. The Cross Sport has 40.3 cu-ft behind the second-row seats and 77.8 cu-ft of total cargo space for those who need more room. The quality of the inside is all over the map. Although it appears acceptable, there are many places where low-quality polymers are used, which is unusual for a Volkswagen.

Standard features on the latest model are pretty impressive. As a result, we don’t expect the 2023 Volkswagen Atlas to feature many new features. Instead, the current model’s essential features, including a 6.5-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a USB port, Bluetooth, and a six-speaker stereo system, are likely to be retained in the next model. Options include an 8-inch touch screen with navigation, HD Radio and satellite radio, a 12-speaker Fender sound system, up to five USB connections, automatic climate control, and the Volkswagen Digital Cockpit.

Safety features are plenty, too. Everything from a rearview camera to blind-spot monitoring to rear cross-traffic alert to forward collision warning to pedestrian detection is standard equipment in all vehicles. Front and rear parking detectors, hands-free similar park assist, a surround-view camera system for parking, lane-keeping assistance, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control are all options if you’re prepared to spend the extra money.

2023 Volkswagen Atlas Engine

As far as we’re concerned, this utilitarian SUV’s weakest feature is this. It has two engines to choose from, although neither one is awe-inspiring. The 235 horsepower of the basic turbo-four is adequate for daily driving. 276 horsepower and somewhat higher performance are possible with the optional 3.6-lt V6. Both units, however, lack a certain level of refinement. Fuel efficiency is also below average. While the base turbo-four may get up to 21 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway, the V6 model is even more fuel-sucking. Vehicles in this class achieve combined fuel economy ratings of 17/23 mpg in both the city and the road.

2023 Volkswagen Atlas Price and Release Date

We expect the 2023 Volkswagen Atlas to be on sale in the fourth quarter, but it’s too early to know. As far as price increases go, we don’t expect much, so the base model should cost $32,000, making it significantly less expensive than the likes of the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander.
